◆Swimming: Sakai breaks 200-meter backstroke short-course world record
TOKYO, Nov. 15 KYODO
     Japan's Shiho Sakai broke the women's 200-meter backstroke short-course world record at a World Cup meet in Berlin on Saturday.
Sakai claimed victory in a time of 2 minutes, 00.18 seconds to break the previous world mark of 2.00.91 held by Zimbabwe's Kirsty Coventry.
