A lawyer who met with Myanmar pro-democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi on Monday told Kyodo News that she expressed gratitude to the junta for arranging a meeting between her and Kurt Campbell, U.S. assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, in Yangon last week.
