◆FACTBOX: General election results final breakdown
TOKYO, Aug. 31 KYODO
     Following is the final breakdown of seats won by
each party's candidates in Sunday's House of
Representatives election.
A total of 480 seats were at stake, with 300
elected from single-seat constituencies and the
remaining 180 by proportional representation in 11
regional blocks.
(S) stands for candidates listed in single-seat
constituencies and (P) for candidates in the
nationwide proportional representation blocks.
''Pre-election'' indicates party strength before
official campaigning began Aug. 18, while ''Diet
dissolved'' shows party strength when the lower house
was dissolved July 21.
