A series of Hello Kitty goods with the theme of British tartan will go on sale in September both in Japan and overseas to mark the 35th anniversary of the birth of the feline character, its producer Sanrio Co. said Wednesday.
     Lochcarron of Scotland, the world's leading tartan fabric maker, designed the pink tartan as Britain is Kitty's home.
     The various kinds of tartan-themed goods will include stationery, bags, scarves and sundry items, Sanrio said, adding the prices of the products will range between 315 yen and 18,900 yen.
