Comedian Hikari Ota barely escapes an ''attack'' by a dinosaur robot during a recent promotional event for the upcoming release in Japan of the U.S. animated film ''Ice Age 3,'' in which he will do a voice-over for a main character in the movie.
     ''Help!'' Ota cried after being chomped on by the human-operated robot while promoting the film to be released in Japan on July 25. Ota will do a voice-over for the sloth Sid.
     Veteran actor Naoto Takenaka, who took part in the event as he will dub for the saber-toothed tiger Diego, rescued Ota.
     Koichi Yamadera, an animated film voice-over artist playing the role of the mammoth Manny, also joined Ota and Takenaka in the event.
     The film contains a scene in which some animals suffer the problem of losing their fighting spirit. But Ota said, ''The three of us are always ready to show our fighting spirit.''
